A context menu is a display of commands, usually in the form of a menu, that appear upon the user clicking on an object with a pointing device. The commands offered by a context menu are specific to the object with which the menu is associated; these are sometimes referred to as its options. They are often activated by a shortcut key such as the right-click or Ctrl+click.
