Description

The new Microsoft Edge includes a built-in Translate feature powered by the Microsoft Translator. It’s no longer necessary to install an extension to translate web pages in the browser.

The Translate icon appears in the address bar when you go to a web page that’s written in a foreign language. A language is considered foreign to you if it's not included in your Preferred languages list in Settings. To add or remove languages from the list, in Microsoft Edge, go to Settings and more > Settings > Languages.

You can also translate a web page by right-clicking the page, then selecting the Translate option.

We're working on a feature that lets you translate text that you select, instead of the entire page. This feature will be available in the browser soon.

If you have any other feature requests or feedback, please share them by clicking on the feedback button in your toolbar. If the button is not appearing you can click on "Settings and more" (three dots on the top right corner) and then choosing "Help and Feedback" and then clicking on "Send Feedback".

I am learning Spanish and would like to occasionally translate a page to Spanish. However, adding this to the taskbar is a waste of time. It does not work and has no purpose.
