First of all, the App “DLP Browser Helper” we have submitted recently is an chromium based Edge version worked as a helper module of our enterprise endpoint security product. The main purpose of this extension is to monitor the browser TAB change event and to feedback the URL of current TAB to our security analytic engine. The extension doesn’t access, collect or transmit any personal information, and it is only targeted to our security product customer. We don’t suggest common users to install the extension.
  Next, the extension can only work with our security product – it monitors the TAB change event and feedbacks current URL to our security analytic engine by plain HTTP request with BASIC authentication enable. If you guys still hope to test whether the URL feedback function work or not, you can install a simulated HTTP server on the same machine where Edge installs, then start the server and check the HTTP traffic between Edge and the simulated HTTP server. Please be noted that the simulated HTTP server can be downloaded at https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsQu9jFZvG4HailEVfbiglwmSoE?e=Z12yDM , and the TCP port the HTTP server used is 8852.
  Third, the extension uses native messaging, native host can be downloaded at https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ap66Zucrd8RdiFdpFaPTvaKnDz1H?e=YVDeqb and then unzip it and run install.bat to install native host.
  Last, you can install and run our extension to test it.
